



Hon. Salisu Muktari Attends NADDC Automotive Training Centre Commissioning in Potiskum LGA

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, attended the official commissioning of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) Automotive Training Centre and the closing ceremony of the specialized mechatronics training on PMS and NG-powered tricycle and motorcycle repair and maintenance in Potiskum, Yobe State.
The event, held within the host local government area, brought national and state stakeholders together to witness a major milestone in technical skills development. Hon. Salisu Muktari’s attendance reflected the Potiskum Local Government Council’s support for programs aimed at equipping youths with relevant, market-driven automotive skills.
The commissioning was carried out through a strategic partnership involving the NADDC, Yobe State Government, and Simba Group Nigeria, and was graced by the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, alongside senior government officials and industry experts.
The newly commissioned training center is designed to strengthen local capacity in modern automotive and mechatronics technology, with a focus on the maintenance and repair of tricycle and motorcycle sectors that play a vital role in local transportation and economic activity.
Hon. Salisu Muktari, by his presence at the event, reiterated the commitment of the Potiskum Local Government administration to initiatives that promote skills acquisition, employment opportunities, and sustainable development. The hosting of the center in Potiskum further highlights the LGA’s growing relevance in national programs that target grassroots industrial growth.
The program concluded with the successful completion of the specialized training, positioning Potiskum as a beneficiary of ongoing efforts to drive innovation, youth empowerment, and technical competence in Yobe State.
