You know, the first time I went to the Dutch Landing Memorial, I actually missed it. I was driving along the coast near Vieux Grand Port and saw the little sign too late. Had to turn around and park at a small pull-off. The monument itself is modest, just a stone pillar with a plaque. But what got me was the wind.
