LET THEM SAY! IGNORE THEM; LEAVE THEM ...

Ask the Pharisees and they will tell you how absurd Jesus was and all the while they were ignorant of their ambiguity, absurdity and ambivalence.

For ignorance can never be taught, enlightened.
It is wise but in number which is its voice, strength to make and to mar.
Once in number, is wise and once it is one in speech, it has become the authority to live by which can never be corrected and all must conform.
For many have caused themselves great injuries to their reputation in trying to enlighten ignorance which rebuffs with character assassination, defamation, elimination of those who venture to enlighten it.

Avoid taking part in such associations (with the ignorant, fool). For such an enterprise will cause more harm than good to your reputation.
For the wise, to see the foolish, ignorant and allow them to perish, if his attempt to enlighten them unto salvation, wisdom which will direct is likely to cause harm than enhance his novelty, reputation.

For the ignorant are doomed to misfortune and Ill fate and the company of fools headed towards their very destruction whether in person, people or empire if they at one point don't realize their folly, ignorance and boards with wisdom in ideas, invention.

As Galileo Galilee and other reputable scientists would sin against the ignorance of Rome to proclaim and hold to his proof that the earth is spherical, hanging in space moving round the sun amongst others would meet his (their) horror, death trying to enlighten the ignorance of the Roman authority.

So, if the whole world is ignorant and foolish, then ALL is wise.
An unpardonable sin, to be wise, contrary in opinion to ignorance.
For the only unpardonable sin in Life is a sin against ignorance, folly;
Of others against you or you against a people.
For this reason, Jesus Christ was crucified, His disciples persecuted and killed.
Their very unpardonable sin, was to sin against the ignorance of the Pharisees (Authority).

Either everything is good or everything bad, depends on one's or a people's opinions, notions and precepts.
Whoever wants to make their own opinion, notions, precepts the measure of all things is an insufferable fool.

Perfection doesn't depend on one person's, people opinion, notion, precept, perception, censure or approval: tastes are as different, plentiful as faces, finger prints and as varied with a person and as with a whole (people, multitude).

There's not a single failing without its advocate, admirer as ugly, scarred, charred as it may seem. Nor should we lose heart if something, of opinion, style does not please someone or a people for there will always be someone, somewhere else it does. But their applause should not go to our heads, for others will condemn such praise at sometime or elsewhere.

The measure of true satisfaction is the approval of reputable men who are experts in the relevant field. Life doesn't depend on any one opinion, any one custom, or any one century.

So, try to live beyond the bounds of one a person, people, custom, century.
For there will arise one who, which will not fail to applaud, exonerate you or all censure, contempt, disdain of the previous if and only if you hold on, die for the rightful course of action which you believe in.
For the whole world bows to courage, determination and will respect those who believe in their values and hold onto it with enthusiasm however unappealing they may be.
The world does that while they are alive or posthumously.

So, try to outlast the bounds of one a person, culture, people, custom, century.

damn this hit deep. i've been on both sides of this - trying to argue with people who just won't hear it, and also being the stubborn one who couldn't see past my own nose. the galileo bit got me. it's exhausting how history just keeps repeating itself with people attacking anyone who thinks different. the part about reputation really stuck with me too. sometimes keeping your peace is the smarter move even when you know you're right. kinda uncomfortable but true
