I've been to Trou aux Cerfs more times than I can count, and while everyone talks about the view (which is undeniably stunning), what I find really special is going there at different times of day. Most tourists hit it mid morning or late afternoon for the sunset. But if you can drag yourself out there just after sunrise on a clear day, you'll see something completely different. The light hits the crater in a way that makes the green look almost electric, and you can see all the way to the coast...
