petals of drug

inferno of hallucination whirl,
pop up a scarlet-coloured imagination
with pulverise threat

voices from behind question
his legality of living in pen
and staying among men

irenic talk chime
bell of gossip and quarrel;
he barks at his own shadow

a broom in the hand
of a child, slug
and machete to take his dummy life

solitary and exhausted
on alley of blues
flee
to the coop
from tyrannous reality

not a bipedal or quadrupedal primate

his easy-going life beetle over reality
with plumage of drug

seed of depression sprout
petals of insanity
in hallucinatory soil

his appetite
forbids plushy dish

he hustles with vultures and rodents
on midden of carcasses
to survive

dress in gammy garment
denied laundry -
a threat,
an eyesore in the street,

stays in open pen
erected by imagination

society driven by anomy
breed batty lives - the bedrock
of freewheeling society

let's stop the abuse of drug,
let go of lawless life style

the spread of insanity requires
government
relegation of poverty

and moral education
to improve the life of people!
