ONE WEEK ON CHRISTMAS
On Monday Mama sent for me Make a memory for this season Male and female, young and old Mass return it must be By Tuesday came twos and threes In travel bags full of truffles Christmas trees on tapestry floors Tranquil lights throwing shades of beauty Wednesday wind rustled through trees Whistling wind, wailing wind binding us to our wooden beds Yet with a wild cheer we woke The jingles just wouldn't stop On Thursday the spirit is high Thanksgiving begins with a task There must be some...
Prizes keep skyrocketing

Christmas shopping
with the high cost of living in the country, fairly used wears is a fall back for many this season. Sometimes one is lucky to find very nice and unique outfits from these. #My2024onNircle #Photography #Festiveseason
Weekend Highlights
I am a grateful heart. God saved my elder brother from an accident that could have claimed his life. He woke up from coma yesterday after spending a whole day unconscious. I just arrived my village to see him recuperating just fine. I remember as at this time last year we were running around to bury a close cousin who died in his early fortys by accident. This would have been a big blow in the family but I thank God who did not allow the devil take away the radiance of this season from us. #My20...

Product Promotion
This picture was taken at Ogbete main market. The energy with which these boys danced was something else. They attracted a lot of passersby who clustered to take a look at their products and patronize them. #Photography #Festiveseasons
Thriving business for the season
Salon business is one of the most thriving businesses this season. They are filled up with women booking for manicure, pedicure and all forms of hair treatments. #Photography #Festiveseason
Christmas Gyrations
An Igbo adage says that 'anaghi arapu ebe a na echi ozo gaba ebe a na aru agwu'😄 It simply means that all roads lead to merriment this season and no one wants to be left out. We had a great time at the children's Christmas party in church. #Photography #Festiveseason
Children Party in Church
There was so much excitement today in church as the children celebrated their end of year party
Market Traffic
The traffic is already building. It is customary to this season with people shopping for all manner of programs. Essential commodities are becoming very scarce and expensive. To buy vegetables at Ogwuiga market today was an interesting struggle 😊 so I decided to take some pictures.
Celebrating with a blend of culture
A very interesting dramatic piece by our senior students. There was a wrestling competition. The winner is to marry the King's daughter. I could write a full book about this someday. It was all fun 😊
Celebrating fourteen years of impact at Santus Regina Caeli High School

AFRICAN PROVERBS
The one who has not mastered the art of carrying his penis must not try to lift the pestle😊 As funny as this proverb might sound, one gains a literal understanding when one considers the length of the penis and that of the pestle. This proverb is common among the Nigerian Igbos. It says "Onye ebulighi amu ya, obube odu akwu" #NircleProverbs #AfricanProverb
Local Prices
The yam seller sold this to me for #6500 at Market Junction, along Rukpokwu,Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I thought it was quite exorbitant though I equally understand the current situation in the country. Two years back this would have gone for about #1500. #Localprices #Neighbours
Untangle Africa's Chains, Playing My Part
LAND OF HEROES Sing on Africa Land of heroes who wrestled from dawn to dusk at the village square where ancestors meet with spirits from a distant land Warriors girded in animal skins Listen to their songs call Our ancestors must not in their graves turn if we at the sight of their bullets run Our crime is our smooth, shiny, dark ebony skin warm and fragrant like the morning brew But their hearts are black and consumed by spite like an abyss they swallowed hope and left despair These heroe...

POETIC PROVERBS African proverbs, a treasure to withstand guiding us through life's journey with gentle loving hand Wisdom whispers on the savannah breeze A 'smooth sea' warns of life's deceiving ease We must sing in the ears of young and old 'The wind breaks not the tree that bends' 'When music changes, so does the step' we cannot tango in an atmosphere of blues Let wisdom whisper and let our leaders hear. 'When elephants clash, the grasses creep' The call for change is long overdue 'The ear...

AFRICA THROUGH THE EYES OF MUSIC Africa, land of rhythm and music A symphony of sounds echoing the beauty of this land profound 'prata prata' goes the talking drum in lyrical eulogy and praise as baba ijebu sways his agbada from left to right 'gom gom gom' the 'ogene' calls for a gathering at the square where ancestors meet Africa, land of rhythm where languages blend and cultures abound. Gentleman Mike Ejeagha told tales of the turtle and the elephant, an insight to the wisdom of the Afr...
Untangle Africa's Chains, Playing My Part
AFRICANS ONCE SAID Africa is not a country but a continent just like Europe or Asia. Like a sleeping giant, it is time for her to wake up Africa is a continent of hope, a continent of opportunity and a continent of growth. Her story has been written in the margins of history but it is time for us to reclaim our narrative. The time for African unity is now Africa's wealth is not just in it's natural resources but in it's people. Africa's story is one of resilience of courage and of determina...
Untangle Africa's Chains. Playing My Part
AFRICA, A SURVIVOR Africa is the land of my ancestors and the land of my birth. How would I have known how much commitment I owe you when the road to knowledge was constantly impaired. It is difficult to find pathways amidst constant threats and without proper guide but I have found mine. It is a road to total commitment and loyalty to the land of my birth. Africa is a blessed land with good topography and favourable climatic conditions She is rich in mineral resources, allow me to call her t...

MOTHER AFRICA I am the cradle where humanity was born I feel the warmth of topical rain forests and the cool breeze of Mediterranean plains. One by one they nibbled at my nipples tugging at their thick, silky, beautiful dark hairs with their tiny legs raised a great blessing I must say My children are different With personalities rich and a resilient hand we've faced the tides and still our spirit remains, unbroken and wide I watched them from cradle When they let out their first cry as th...

Native Jollof Rice ( My Recipe)
My taste bud usually call for something unique . I love my food natural, delicious and inviting 😊 Recently I stood at a market where I went to buy akara. I looked at the different posts where they fried it and could not convince myself to buy any. One of the market women noticed my hesitation and pried to know why😊 My simple analysis got her laughing. I told her that all the akara I saw were not beckoning on me😊 so for this challenge, I made something very natural and delicious 😋 ...
A POEM ON 'EGO'
Ego, a silent companion A reflection of self, or so it would beguile A voice that whispers yet speaks so loud A mask that hides the truth, in a crowded cloud Ego and pride intertwined Like pride, a beacon of self in the dark of night it fuels the fire that drives us high but can also consume with a deadly sigh the good book says Ego puffs and preens, a proud display A precarious sanctuary, built to sway The winds of doubt, the rains of fear Like a castle built on sand, a spider wave of defens...
