POETIC PROVERBS

African proverbs, a treasure to withstand
guiding us through life's journey with gentle loving hand
Wisdom whispers on the savannah breeze
A 'smooth sea' warns of life's deceiving ease

We must sing in the ears of young and old
'The wind breaks not the tree that bends'
'When music changes, so does the step' we cannot tango in an atmosphere of blues

Let wisdom whisper and let our leaders hear.
'When elephants clash, the grasses creep'
The call for change is long overdue
'The ear that hears is not as big as the rafia hat'

Hunger!, hunger!!, hunger!!! they cry
In their voices we find timeless truths revealed 'the one who digs a well must be allowed to drink from it

Untangle Africa. 'The river does not flow because of the noise it makes'.
'The best way to eat an elephant is bit by bit' for 'a little axe can fell a big tree'.
