My taste bud usually call for something unique . I love my food natural, delicious and inviting 😊
Recently I stood at a market where I went to buy akara. I looked at the different posts where they fried it and could not convince myself to buy any.
One of the market women noticed my hesitation and pried to know why😊 My simple analysis got her laughing. I told her that all the akara I saw were not beckoning on me😊 so for this challenge, I made something very natural and delicious 😋
The recipes for my delicious meal are listed below
1) red oil
2) fresh pepper (red)
3)iru(Yoruba native spice)
4)ogiri( the fermented melon)
5)crayfish
6)knorr cubes
7) water leaves
The moment I discovered how good the Yoruba iru is, I began to use it for a lot of native dishes. Today, I had to combine it together with the Igbo ogiri ( fermented melon) and the outcome was amazing.
My friends use to tease me that they can smell my food from miles away and I told them it's a special talent 😄
The food texture is a bit soft because the water leaves is somewhat slimy and hence capable of holding it together.
Try this recipe and thank me later 😊
