The Algorithm Of Heaven's Media — Chapter Eight

“It’s okay, my son,” she said. “Everybody gets those days.”
Christian nodded and tore the corner of the sachet with his teeth. The cold water slid down his throat and settled somewhere deep inside him.
He knew now what those days really were. They were the days you tried to move through a complicated world with a disconnected soul. Days when the signal was weak and every small thing felt heavier than it should.
By the time he reached his place, the sky had already begun to dim.
He pushed the door open and stepped inside. The room looked exactly the same, his bag on the chair, books scattered on the table, Kayode's bucket just outside his door, but something inside him had changed position.
He didn’t reach for his assignment, neither did he check his physical phone.
He sat down on the edge of his bed and looked quietly at the wall.
For a moment there was only silence.
Then the familiar soft chime returned.
A small notification appeared gently in his mind.
Evening Sync?
Christian smiled to himself.
“Yes,” he whispered. “Yes. I’m staying on the line tonight.”
************************
I blinked, and suddenly the morning sun was touching my own face.
My room was quiet again, but my body felt as though I had just returned from a long journey.
I reached for my phone out of habit.
Then I stopped. Slowly, I placed it back on the table.
Maybe the first post of the day didn’t need the world’s likes or comments. Maybe the first post should be seen only by Heaven.
“ Lord, I bless you for this day…”
Watch out for the next Chapter… 🔥
