In a bold move to accelerate development and enhance connectivity, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has flagged off the reconstruction of the vital 59-kilometer Kariyari–Dapchi–Bayamari road.
The ambitious project will transform the corridor through expansion and the laying of a new asphalt surface, delivering a smoother, safer, and more durable roadway for residents, commuters, and businesses.
As a critical link connecting key agricultural and trading communities, the road plays a central role in the local economy. Its upgrade is expected to ease movement, reduce travel time, and significantly improve access to markets, healthcare services, and educational institutions.
Communities along the route have welcomed the development with optimism, describing it as a long-awaited intervention that will boost economic activities, support farmers, and improve overall living standards.
The Kariyari–Dapchi–Bayamari road project further demonstrates the Buni administration’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure, promoting inclusive growth, and delivering impactful development across Yobe State.
With work now underway, the project is poised to open a new chapter of connectivity, opportunity, and shared prosperity for the people.
