Small Head, Big Headline
Small boy, big mouth,
Talking tall in a short body,
He climbed one idea
And called it a mountain.
He said,
“I know…”
But life whispered,
“No, you don’t know, you just no sense yet.”
He wore confidence like borrowed cloth,
Oversized…
Dragging on the floor of understanding.
He laughed at grey hair,
Called it “expired thinking,”
Not knowing those strands are
highlights of survival.
He said the old are “past tense,”
But forgot,
Without past tense,
No sentence makes sense.
Fast tongue, slow wisdom
He could speak in minutes
What takes years to mean.
He ran ahead of advice,
Tripped on experience,
Then blamed the ground
For being too “low level.”
He read one page
And started writing conclusions
A loud reader,
But a poor reality editor.
He thought he had “points,”
Until life added commas,
Paused him…
And corrected his “full stop.”
See, wisdom is not noise,
It is no ease.
You earn it,
You don’t announce it.
So let him talk,
After all,
Empty drums don’t just make noise…
They advertise it.
