… Look at how we scroll through the screen, looking for validation from strangers on the timeline,
Because the people who share our surname have never told us we are enough.
A boy will go outside and join a gang just to feel like he belongs somewhere,
Running away from the venom at home, only to fall into the jaws of the street.
We have turned our children into actors, playing a role they never chose,
Forced to carry the weight of words that were spoken in a moment of madness.
Wón á ní olówó là n bọ, wón ti gbàgbé pé ọmọ gidi lón bọlá fún ilé,
We value the pocket but we destroy the person, leaving the soul completely empty.
We ask why the society is bleeding, why the youths are breaking down,
But the answer is right there in the living room, in the silent tears on the pillow.
But I know a God who does not use our flaws to write our future,
The One who looks at a broken boy and calls him a king before he even takes a step.
He is the Arabátáribiti, the El-Gibbor, the God who overrides the judgment of men.
When the world said you will not amount to anything, He stood on the cross and whispered IT IS FINISHED. ❤️
He is the Alágbádá Iná who melts the iron chains of generational curses with just one breath.
You don’t need to perform a script that was written in anger,
Because the Creator of the universe has already signed your life with His own blood.
His word is a lamp, His voice is the heavy rain that washes away the pain of the past,
The God who looks at a zero and adds His grace to make it a hero.
To be continued … 🔥
