As Yobe steadily moves toward the 2027 General Election, one question towers above all others: who will govern Yobe State next, and will that leadership protect the progress already made? This is not a routine political transition. It is a defining choice that will either consolidate years of hard-won stability or place them at risk.
On this issue, I choose clarity. My political position is firm, deliberate, and personal. I stand fully with Gov. Buni and Hon. Salisu Muktari, and I am ready to commit my time, resources, and political influence to support whoever they collectively endorse as Yobe State’s next governor in 2027.
Gov. Buni’s leadership has reshaped Yobe’s political and developmental landscape. Through calm governance, institutional rebuilding, improved security coordination, and people-centered policies, his administration restored confidence in leadership and created a foundation for sustainable growth.
These achievements were not accidental; they were the result of disciplined decision-making and long-term thinking, as 2027 approaches, continuity becomes not a slogan, but a necessity.
Hon. Salisu Muktari represents loyalty to this governing philosophy and strength at the grassroots. His political conduct reflects integrity, restraint, and respect for collective leadership, also his close alignment with Gov. Buni’s vision reassures me that the succession process will be guided by wisdom, consultation, and the overall interest of Yobe—not by personal ambition or short-term calculations.
My support is therefore intentional and strategic. I am prepared to actively mobilize, advocate, and contribute materially to ensure that Yobe’s next governor builds upon existing gains rather than dismantling them.
As a committed member of the All Progressives Congress, my loyalty follows leadership that delivers, wherever Gov. Buni and Hon. Salisu Muktari stand politically on the road to 2027, that is where I stand, guided by conviction, gratitude, and an unwavering belief that Yobe’s future must be shaped by continuity, integrity, and responsible leadership.
