What a Week

I had a week. It was quite okay.
That phrase “when the going gets tough, the tough get going”—na lie. 😂
If you don’t use the grace and strength of God to tie your sokoto, you will fall. Because, my dear, it’s not easy.
Fitting into a new role for the first time is not easy, especially after being freelance for a while. Trying to understand the brand culture, how things work… it’s a lot. But na God dey use hand hold me like this.
I was telling my sister the other day, “I don’t gat this.” Because honestly, I didn’t know if I did. I’ve been sleeping late (nobody sent me message o 😭), scrolling through social media, and trying to figure out how to make this work.
So far so good; things are looking up. It’s my second week, the sun is shining its 32 on me ☀️, and I genuinely love the job. But adjusting to working full-time while still thinking about writing, actually writing, thinking about my projects, thinking I don’t got this… It’s a lot.
I really need to stop overthinking and just let myself work as effectively as I know I can.
My boss commended my work ethic this week, which honestly felt so good. For someone with little experience in this specific role, still finding her footing, balancing new projects, and writing a new book—it’s not that bad.
I just hope I perform well this month because this one must work o. 🙏🏽
My mum told me something before I started this job that’s still helping me now:
“When you’re working for someone, pretend like it’s your own business. Work the way you’d want people to work for you.”
That’s been keeping me sane and reminding me that by God’s grace, mercy, and strength—I’ll be fine.
So yeah, that’s me just ranting about my week. 😂

P.S. I’m thinking of creating video content soon, but I’m still figuring out the direction. Once I do, I’ll jump right in.
