Pages whispered with wonder,
Worlds still forming in stardust and ink,
Dreams dancing in margins, soft as thunder.
Their pencil is a wand, their notebook a spell,
Each line a step in the stories they tell.
From dragons that soar to secrets of space,
They build whole kingdoms in one small place.
In bedrooms and schoolyards, beneath classroom light,
They scribble their hopes in the hush of the night.
Sometimes unsure, sometimes bold,
Their hearts spill stories waiting to unfold.
Today, we pause to plant a seed,
In hearts that write what they believe.
A word of praise, a gentle cheer…
Can shape the author of next year.
A nudge, a question….“What happens next?”
Can mean the world to the quietly complex.
So lift up their voice, no matter how new,
The future of stories is waiting in view.
✍️ Tell a young writer they matter.
Ask about their stories. Read what they’ve written.
Celebrate their quirks, their worlds, their wonder.
Remind them their voice belongs in the world. 💛
