Hon. Salisu Muktari revives and strengthens all abandoned departments and administrative units of Potiskum LGA

The executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has revived and reinstated the functions of several departments in Potiskum LGA after they were left dead so many years back.
The chairman found the local government in a state of neglect in areas that are considered very important and impactful to the economy and the lives of the good people of the local government area.
The departments and units included are include:
1. He found the Agric-Department in a state of disrepair, which is now fenced, and provided with a good management system.
2. He found the local government without a functional veterinary clinic; now he has renovated the old one, which was abandoned, provided it with modern equipment, and ensured good management.
3. He found that the local government had abandoned the vigilante volunteers securities, and he provided them with shelter and assured them he was always ready to provide them with assistance to improve their performance.
4. He found that the local government had abandoned its old secretariat; he now renovated it and handed it over to the authorities and security agencies to carry out their duties.
5. He found that the local government has not provided the NSCDC officers with a zonal office and provided them with a division and also provided open and direct contact with them.
6. He found that the PHC Board of the local government has no traffic vehicles, projectors, or other modern equipment. He now provided them with Hilux vehicle and all modern equipment he also opened a direct contact point for them.
7. He found that the Roseline Road was damaged; he renovated it and had it repaired effectively to reduce the risk to motorists on the road.
8. He acquired the dilapidated Dogon-karfe to General Hospital road and renovated it with quality repairs to facilitate the movement of patients.
9. He acquired the dilapidated MPN Road to Sabuwar Tasha and renovated it with quality repairs to improve the movement of travelers.
10. He provided a road that would connect Kwanan dan-ja and Nasarawa to empower the residents of the area and facilitate movement.
11. He provided a modern bridge and a road that would connect Misau Road and Anguwar Lailai GRA to improve movement and connect the two areas.
The chairman has undertaken many development projects that have had a significant impact on the well-being of the community in the local government area; these are just a few of which we have outlined.
Hon. Salisu Muktari has certainly strengthened the local government area by improving its overall operations.
