The executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, paid a courtesy visit to Princess Aisha Bubaram, the executive commercial banking north division first bank, in her office at their corporate headquarters.
The visit was special to discuss ways to improve and strengthen the relationship to expand the operations of First Bank in the Potiskum Local Government Area.
During the visit, he also discussed ways to improve the challenges faced by the people of Potiskum in the financial sector, especially with First Bank, to find ways to strengthen trade and business between traders and the bank in the local government area.
During the discussion, the chairman requested an additional First Bank branch to reduce congestion and delays for traders who use the bank as a means of conducting their financial transactions.
"Potiskum Local Government Area is a motherland to you, we are suffering from a shortage of bank's Branchs despite being a commercial hub in Yobe State.
"This has led to severe congestion in banks, which is causing delays in servicing all customers. That is why I am calling for the expansion of First Bank's operations, as it is the largest bank in the local government area, and if possible, we need one more branch in Potiskum." Said Hon.
