The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Potiskum, describing their emergence as a positive signal for stronger party organisation and grassroots mobilisation.
In his message, Hon. Salisu Muktari applauded party members for the peaceful and transparent conduct of the congress, stating that “the credibility of the process once again confirms that internal democracy remains the backbone of a strong and enduring political party.”
He urged the new executives to approach their mandate with humility and a sense of duty, noting that “this victory should be seen not as a personal triumph, but as a responsibility to serve party members and the broader community with fairness, discipline, and dedication.”
The Chairman stressed that unity within the party is essential for sustained progress, saying, "A united and vibrant APC at the local level is key to consolidating development gains and promoting people-centered governance that responds to the real needs of the people.” He encouraged the leadership to work closely with ward officials, youths, women, and critical stakeholders to deepen inclusion and strengthen grassroots engagement.
Reaffirming his commitment to collaboration, Hon. Salisu Muktari said, "My administration remains ready to work with party leaders and elected representatives to advance development initiatives that align with the vision of good governance and effective service delivery in Potiskum.”
He concluded by calling on party members to embrace loyalty, unity, and constructive engagement, stressing that “collective effort and shared purpose remain the surest path to electoral success and sustainable development at the grassroots.”
