

Hon. Salisu Muktari Applauds Gov. Buni’s Potiskum Trailer Park, Says Project Will Transform Local Economy and Livelihoods

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has commended Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for delivering the ultra-modern trailer park in Potiskum, describing it as a landmark investment that will drive economic growth and improve the standard of living for the people.
Hon. Salisu Muktari noted that the project reflects Gov. Buni’s strong commitment to infrastructure development and youth empowerment, adding that its impact will be felt across communities in Potiskum and beyond.
“This project is a major boost to our local economy. It will create thousands of jobs for our youths, stimulate business activities, and provide new opportunities for our people to thrive,” he said.
“Beyond job creation, it will bring order to transport operations, reduce congestion, and improve safety within our communities. This is a development that directly touches the lives of our people.”
He further explained that the trailer park will attract investors, enhance trade, and support small and medium-scale businesses, thereby strengthening the economic base of the local government.
Hon. Salisu Muktari also highlighted that the modern facilities within the park, including security services, healthcare, and commercial outlets, will make it a complete and functional hub that supports both transporters and residents.
“What we are seeing here is a clear example of people-focused leadership. Gov. Buni has delivered a project that will not only serve today but also secure a better future for our communities,” he added.
The chairman reaffirmed the readiness of the Potiskum community to support and sustain the project, emphasizing that it marks a new phase of growth, opportunity, and development for the area.
