The administration of His Excellency Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, has once again demonstrated its firm commitment to sustainable economic growth and empowerment by signing new contracts aimed at deepening youth enterprise, strengthening women’s participation in business, and promoting self-reliance across Yobe State.

The new empowerment phase, coordinated through the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment, and Employment Generation, covers the supply of motorcycles, tricycles, cooking oil containers, and advanced charcoal stoves—tools that will directly support thousands of beneficiaries across the state’s 17 local government areas.

During the signing ceremony held in Damaturu, the Honourable Commissioner, Alhaji Aji Yerima Bularafa (Mal. Terab of Gujba), described the initiative as another landmark in Governor Buni’s mission to build a people-centered and opportunity-driven economy.

“Governor Buni’s administration continues to place people at the heart of development. These empowerment programs are not just about distribution—they are about transformation, productivity, and dignity,” Bularafa emphasized.

He reaffirmed that transparency, accountability, and efficiency would guide the entire implementation process to ensure quality delivery and maximum impact.

The contracts were awarded to MARWEZ LIMITED, GNIFARM AND AGRICULTURAL ALLIED PRODUCTS, and HAKLY NIGERIA LIMITED, companies tasked with supplying and distributing the empowerment materials across the state.

According to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Inuwa Usman Yaroro, the initiative aligns perfectly with the Buni administration’s vision to create wealth, reduce unemployment, and expand access to economic opportunities for the people of Yobe.

Stakeholders across the state have hailed the development as another proof of Governor Buni’s visionary leadership—one that continues to transform lives, inspire innovation, and pave the way for lasting prosperity in Yobe State.
