Gov. Buni's unscheduled visit to inspect the ongoing work confirms his commitment to transform Damaturu

The Executive Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has vowed to transform Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, into a more attractive and modern state capital.
Following the vow he made in late 2024 while presenting the 2025 budget to the State House of Assembly, which was titled _______ "Budget of economic consolidation and poverty reduction."
In the budget, the governor outlined how his government would increase investment in health, roads, education, and support for women and youth to strengthen the economy and reaffirm his government's commitment to creating jobs for thousands of youth.
The renovation of the capital city of Yobe, Damaturu, and its transformation from the old Damaturu to the new Damaturu with a modern and efficient structure is among the major projects that the government has prioritized to improve the lives of the people of Yobe State as a whole by beautifying the capital and turning it into a modern city that can compete with many cities across Nigeria.
As we are in one-third of the year 2025, the governor has commissioned some projects that are expected to be completed to improve the city of Damaturu and help in its transformation.
The projects are include the construction of a large _____ flyover and underpass bridge, an ultra-modern motor park, and a more efficient and modern dam to reduce the incidence of flooding in the city of Damaturu.
The governor is also renovating some roads in the city, building factories, and creating some new roads in Damaturu.
Since the commissioning of these projects, the governor has been making regular visits to ensure the quality of the work and to ensure that the work is progressing according to the contract agreement.
