Somewhere along the way, we started treating God like a place you go to drop requests and expect quick answers. Like if you say the right words and do the right things, everything should fall into place immediately. And when it does not, we feel disappointed, almost like something went wrong somewhere.
But God is not a vending machine. He is not someone you press and collect from. He is God.
And the truth about Him is not always easy for people like us who like things to move fast. We set alarms. We plan our days. We expect results when we think we should see them. But He does not move like that.
His timing is not something you can refresh like a page on your phone. It is more like morning breaking. You may not notice it at first, especially when you are tired of waiting, but slowly, steadily, light fills the room.
And sometimes it comes at that moment when you had almost stopped checking, when you were no longer standing by the window, when you had begun to accept the quiet.
That is how He works. Baba no dey rush and He no fit late. Just right.
