DAY 3 - PEACE IN A WORLD AT WAR

Tears roll down innocent faces, year after year
Longing for the day when fear turns to cheer.
Peace cannot cease
While death tolls increase
While cries rise,
And justice stays silent, still and distant.
Peace is the voice that whispers Just before the trigger.
The echo trembling before an airstrike hits.
What happened to rights? To justice?
To nations united in name
But divided in action?
Where’s the ceasefire?
Where’s the truth?
Where’s the voice that dares to speak for the justice?
Peace is not forgetting
It's remembering loud.
Not washed away by rain,
Not silenced by lies.
It’s when the walls of Gaza fall, not from bombs
But because the world stood tall.
Peace is when the Uyghur child sleeps at home, not forced out of their home.
When Sudanese women walk free, not broken.
When Congo’s youth breathe ease, not fear.
When Rwanda's pain is heard, not just once a year.
When black lives aren’t debated, but simply valued.
And the Palestinian cries are no longer drowned out.
When the smoke in the sky is replaced by blue.
Peace is a bridge built where hatred once stood.
In seeds of truth, not fruits of lies
When hands across land unite with grace
And compassion holds a lasting place.
Know this!
The silence of peace is louder than war's roar
When rubble doesn’t bury prayers
When light returns to children's night
And grief gives way to gentle light.
Peace doesn't begin with power.
It begins with purpose.
Because where truth and justice stand,
Peace never crumbles.
It rises.
And today
We write peace into existence.
