I once walked the streets of solemnity,
Wondering why people preferred busy buzzes.
I thought those who talked loudly,
Even to someone right beside them,
Wanted others to hear their every saying.
I found those who liked to go out,
Impossible to understand.
I saw people who dressed up,
Even to run a simple errand,
As attention-seekers.
They weren't my favorites.
But people who kept to themselves,
Talked quietly,
Walked carefully,
Listened more than they spoke,
And wore clothes with moderation,
These were my kinds of people.
Now, I've come to realize
That everybody has their own uniqueness.
If everyone in the world was alike,
We would wither away from boredom's chill.
Each flower adds its own hue
To the garden's vibrant tapestry.
Every petal, every leaf,
A unique brushstroke of beauty.
