WHEN I THINK OF YOU
When I think of you,
my mind doesn’t wander
it surrenders.
It lays down its weapons,
drops its defenses,
and bows with both hands on the floor
like a worshipper who finally found the altar
they were born to kneel before.
You didn’t just enter my thoughts
you rewired them.
You rearranged the architecture of my mind
so that every path,
every turn,
every quiet corner of my consciousness
leads back to you.
Do you know what that means?
It means I don’t just think about you
I orbit you.
My entire being rotates around your memory
like the sun is learning how to shine
from the heat you left inside me.
Every time your image flickers in my thoughts,
my heart stutters,
my breath misbehaves,
and my soul opens its doors
like it’s expecting you to walk in
and take your place again.
The emotions you’ve triggered in me
are not mortal feelings
they’re forbidden frequencies,
the kind that angels whisper about in fear,
the kind the gods locked away
because creation wasn’t ready
for humans to feel this deeply.
But here I am
feeling all of it.
Burning with it.
Drowning in it.
Living in it.
You have turned my desire
into a living entity
a pulse,
a tremor,
a throbbing force of nature
that whispers in my ear at night:
“Say her name again.”
