Sun glide
through the morning fog,
hug the dark arms of cloud
time and tide float debris
onto the shore, wash off hope
though I do not fret
perhaps evening creeps in
the sky will swank ecru hue
display
the laurels of the sun,
wash away gallant clouds of weight
morning breed contentment;
instantaneous joy will
lack precaution to survive
conspicuous evening
which serenity I ought to wait
if I must laugh, laugh longer!

idk why but this hit me right in the feels. That whole 'morning breed contentment' part, then the evening coming to ruin it... been there too many times lol. The part about laughing longer stuck with me though, like maybe that's the whole point? 14 days ago
