The love and trust of the people of Wagir and Mutai were on full display as the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, stormed the two communities on a surprise assessment tour of their Primary Healthcare Centers.
Men, women, and children trooped out in their hundreds, singing praises, waving, and cheering the governor, who they described as “a true leader who feels the pulse of his people.”
Also, the atmosphere was one of celebration and hope as the people embraced a governor who has consistently delivered on his promises.
Governor Buni, visibly impressed by the massive reception, inspected the healthcare facilities and expressed satisfaction with the level of cleanliness, maintenance, and commitment of the staff.
He also praised their dedication, noting that their selfless service was keeping the centers functional and reliable.
In his usual proactive style, the governor directed the executive secretary of the Primary Healthcare Management Agency, Dr. Kundi Machina, to submit requirements for upgrading the facilities; he assured the communities that the government would respond swiftly to strengthen healthcare delivery.
In a heartwarming announcement, Governor Buni also promised that his administration would consider absorbing the hardworking casual staff into permanent service, a gesture that sparked loud cheers from the crowd.
