There was a time
When spring laughed and winter weep
There was a time
When seasons drank from the tide

When the hills coughed and valleys drummed, that was another time

When little child could walk free
As a bird with mama assured of safety

Now, time has been sold
Truth, a beggar, lurking at the corners
Hoping for a glimpse when time and justice will
Walk hand in hand for a good cause
