The United Marketer's Association Potiskum (UMAPO) Commends Gov. Buni for the Completion of a New Modern Market in Potiskum LGA

The United Marketer's Association of Potiskum LGA (UMAPO) commended the executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, on the completion of the construction of the modern market in Potiskum LGA.

The leaders of the association commended the governor during a visual visit to the newly constructed modern market on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, after the completion and laying of the foundation stones for the construction of roads that will modernize and develop the business in Potiskum LGA.

"We must commend His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, for his commitment to ensuring the well-being of the good people of Yobe State, especially in areas that affect our lives such as health and business.

"In our business community, Governor Buni has certainly played a significant role in improving our lives and modernizing our markets by providing us with modern markets in our various local government areas of Yobe State.

"Today, we have come as representatives of the Potiskum Traders under the leadership of the Potiskum Local Government Area Maketers Association, called the "United Marketer's Association" (UMAPO), to witness with our own eyes how His Excellency the Governor has gifted us with our second home because, besides the houses we live in, we traders consider the markets as our second home." Said Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Yayangida, the Acting Chairman of UMAPO.

Governor Buni has created huge commercial establishments of the same type in Potiskum Local Government Area and five other local government areas of Yobe State, including Gashua, Nguru, Geidam, Damaturu, Potiskum, Ngalda, and Yusufari.

The business community and the good people of the Potiskum local government area also commended the governor for creating other development projects that have played a significant role in improving the lives of the people.
