THE NEW SHADE OF BREED
A Reflection by SIMU
There is a new shade of people rising
a breed that is inwardly worldly
yet outwardly wrapped in a refined religious cloak.
They indulge in everything the world indulges in,
but with slight adjustments, small edits,
tiny tweaks that make it acceptable for their faith.
A convenient remix of conviction.
This new breed has learned how to dilute
the very standards their faith is built on
redefining, rephrasing, reinterpreting
until vice sounds like virtue
and compromise is disguised as wisdom.
In the chase for relevance,
in the hunger to be accepted by the masses,
the line between intention, trend, and truth
has blurred into a fog no one wants to question.
And even leaders
voices meant to guide
have begun to bend, shift, and justify
the very things their faith stands against.
A new cloak.
A new language.
A new standard.
But the same old compromise.
