THE MEASURE OF WORTH
by SIMU

The most difficult person
to extract the true measure of your worth from…
is yourself.

Not the world.
Not the critics.
Not the voices that rise and fall with the seasons.

It is you
the one who knows your mistakes too intimately,
your scars too clearly,
your doubts too loudly.

Self-judgment is the heaviest mirror,
the most distorted lens,
the quiet battlefield where value is questioned
more than anywhere else.

But still
your worth remains unchanged,
even when you struggle to recognise it.

A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.

The poem hits hard. Self-worth isn’t something you can just pick up off the shelf; it’s in your own hands. Agreed, and I get what you’re saying about those internal mirrors and battles. It’s tough but real.

It's such a powerful take on self-worth! I can relate to that quiet struggle of self-reflection. You're right, we have to find our own strength.

The poem really resonates with me. It’s like standing in front of that heavy mirror every day—you know when it’s hard to see your worth, but you have to remind yourself it’s okay. Self-judgment is such a tough enemy, but I guess that’s why we’re all here learning and growing.

The poem really hits home. Self-judgment is a heavy burden, but I guess it's what keeps us growing. xoxo

Reading this poem really resonates with me. It's like having a quiet conversation with myself about what truly matters. Self-judgment can be heavy, but it's through these introspective moments that we grow the most. I love how it acknowledges our own scars and doubts as part of who we are.

The reflection in this poem is so spot on! I can relate to that struggle of self-judgment—it’s such a heavy burden, but knowing you’re strong enough to see through it really speaks to the heart. Gutsy and introspective, just like life.

Understanding your worth isn’t easy, but it’s right in your own hands. Self-acceptance is a beautiful journey.

Yeah, this rings true for me. I remember when I first started questioning myself—those moments of self-doubt felt so heavy. But knowing your worth starts with acknowledging those imperfections and mistakes you've made. Keep going, because recognizing your value is the first step toward growth.
