The economy is hard, no doubt. You buy something today, tomorrow the price has changed and everybody just sighs like we are all inside one group project nobody volunteered for yet we have to comply. Sometimes you hold money in your hand and before evening it already feels like the money has expired.
But I have also realized that not every lack is inside the account balance.
Some of it is inside the mind. In the way we think. The way we panic. The way we keep saying yes to things we are tired of because we are afraid of what no might cost us. You can leave a season of struggle and still carry the fear of it around like extra luggage.
I have seen people whose money changed but nothing else changed with it. They remain anxious. Still holding everything too tightly and still live like one mistake will end everything.
And then there are people who do not even have much, but somehow there is lightness around them. They share small things freely. They laugh easily. They believe tomorrow can still bring something good. It has nothing to do with pretending life is easy. It is just that scarcity did not settle inside them completely.
Because sometimes the real poverty is not what is missing around you. It is what fear has convinced you to become. And some changes have to happen inside first before they can stay outside.
