Potiskum Residents Cheer Gov. Mai Mala Buni, Hon. Salisu Muktari, and NEDC as Roads and Bridges Works Kick Off

Excitement is building in Potiskum LGA as residents celebrate the launch of new road and bridge projects spearheaded by Governor Mai Mala Buni, the Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, and the North East Development Commission (NEDC).
The much-needed projects, currently at their initial stages under NEDC’s supervision, are set to address long-standing challenges of poor road access and impassable bridges that have affected farmers, traders, and students across the LGA.
Community members expressed gratitude for the intervention, describing it as a life-changing development. Abdulrazaq Musa, a resident of Bayan Kara, said:
“We are proud of this effort. Once completed, these roads and bridges will transform movement, encourage business growth, and improve access to schools and healthcare.”
Similarly, Hajiya Hauwa from the Tandari–Lailai axis commended the initiative, stressing that it has restored hope among rural dwellers.
“For years, our people suffered during the rainy season, but this project will finally bring relief and connect us better to Potiskum town,” she remarked.
Residents across the LGA applauded the collaboration, noting that it reflects Governor Buni’s people-centered governance, Hon. Salisu Muktari’s grassroots leadership, and NEDC’s commitment to meaningful interventions.
They called for speedy completion, assuring continued support for government programs aimed at bringing lasting development to their communities.
