PEACE BEYOND THE HEADLINES

We wake to pressure...
not birdsong, but static.
Screens vomit panic
before the sun exhales,
headlines clawing the skull
like debt knocking at dawn.
Fear sells.
We line up daily,
scrolling borrowed graves,
draping strangers’ tragedies
across our chests
until our own peace
files a missing-persons report.
The world howls with fracture...
nations cracking, promises rotting, men unraveling.
Chaos no longer knocks.
It pulls up a chair at breakfast,
eats from our plates,
and whispers through our dreams.
Still we swipe on,
chasing the next line
as if redemption hides in the feed.
It doesn’t.
Not everything loud is true.
Not everything true is loud.
There is a Book...
untouched by algorithms,
unbothered by relevance,
never edited to soothe broken appetites.
It does not flinch.
It does not chase virality.
It simply stands.
While the world live-streams fresh terror,
this quiet authority carries a peace
that refuses to expire.
You will not scroll into it.
You must turn..
deliberately,
defiantly...
away.
Because the One who authors tomorrow
is not rattled by today’s tantrums.
Let the headlines rage.
They have always fed on fracture.
I refuse to let them
author my mind.
I choose the steady whisper of truth
over the screaming marketplace of men.
And when everything fractures around me,
I will stand...
not because the ground is steady,
because my peace
was never borrowed from it.
