life
look at the birds, on
the wings of air, flying
nigh and far without fear.
.
even so all lack, but not
their nest, the only place
of rest. weave of the best.
.
life too -is theirs to call;
as to us together by God
given, even ants -too tiny
.
for the eyes of elephant,
to see, can't be pecked by
the beak of a pheasant.
.
who's as happy as a lark?
which for dream cares
not, or for war -doth fears.
.
look at the beasts, wild
and tamed, all dwell on
nature's gifts; their meals
.
placed in their midst, to
satiety to feast, on flesh
and fruits, and weeds,
.
and roots, and pools,
filled to the brink to drink
and sink, and exist in
.
mist of heaven's dew,
until man threw darts and
made it sleep in his stew.
.
this awing fauna, in natural
flow, took contentment
in life of their own, yes!
.
look at men, given by
God -all to dominate, to
go merry and navigate,
.
to binge, to satiate and
propagate. see men,
preempting, manipulating,
.
and consciously, cruely
condemned contentment,
in a life of their own.
.
now God frowns, divinity
scowls. life is flying away
ere it's consumed by strife.
