In the end... there's no winner.
We fight.
We part.
We look for each other’s downfall ,
as if breaking someone else makes us whole.
We talk to others,
All in the name of self-defense.
Trying hard to be “the good one,”
No matter what.
Let everyone think I’m the good guy...
even if I’m not.
And when your enemies die…
one part of you is happy.
You mourn...
but deep inside,
there’s a quiet celebration.
Not of life but of victory.
Life goes on.
The family cries,
but the world doesn’t stop moving.
No sirens.
No global pause.
Just another day with one less name.
Pain…
subsides.
Memories…
fade.
And in the end,
Pain overshadows all that we once held dear.
So tell me,
what then do we fight for?
The battle won’t give you immortality.
It won’t freeze time.
It won’t matter 50 years from now.
What do we make out of it?
I think… forgiveness is the only solution.
You can’t be loved by everyone.
You won’t be.
There’s no richest man,
and no poorest man.
No one owns anything.
It’s all just... time.
Borrowed time.
We belong to this generation,
and we will all be gone in 120.
Even those born today.
So…
Hold on.
To your faith in the afterlife.
That’s our only true hope.
And before then,
Live.
For yourself...
And for the men.
