How Time Flies

It all started when our life's clock ticked four (4),
How our paths crossed even before we knew the word, "tour. "
I couldn't help but capture those bitter-sweet memories in puzzles and pieces,
One, of how our feet joyfully navigated streets we'd never known.
Now I can testify of the sacred song, "amazing grace" –we got "Lost and Found."

How time truly flies!

The marketplace where mother sold was our pitch and playground,
Indeed, our home away from our differing backgrounds.
We often roamed barefooted about its radius in carefree strides,
Little tourists we were, planting each step in Angwa's tracks.
Time showed us mercy just when Praise bought a bicycle,
One, we all owned and rode joyfully, stirring dusty ripples –cycle after cycle.

Truly, How time flies!

We weren’t hunters, but we chased literally every game,
From football to hide-and-seek, never earning fame.
Amongst us were master chefs who cooked pseudo-sweet meals in milk tins,
I'm puzzled at how milk tins birthed such "rich things."
Many a time, feasts cascaded into sour fists, so fast and strangely fierce,
Yes, it got hot, Praise was hurt, we never stayed angry —our quarrels didn’t last.

So funny how Time Flies!

Four times five years have gone by,
All I do, like I'm doing, is vividly recounting funny scenes with grateful sigh.
If and only time could rewind and bend,
I'd love to bath under the rain once more Perhaps it's silvery drops would wash away these grown-up worries
I'd love to watch Tom and Jerry comics every Saturday morning
I'd love to scream "Up Nepa" all for the joy "Super Story" brings on Thursdays at 8 PM
I'd love to tear the vast skies with my kite-shaped aeroplane made from leathers, brooms and thread.

We're all grown, everything's changed.
Like a beautiful dress, time carefully weaved these memories to mind,
One I wear everytime these feet walk the soils it was made.

Truly, Time Truly Flies.

This truly mirrors our childhood story. Be mindful of the total line count nevertheless
