The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, to Reconstruct and Renovate Potiskum Local Government Area Secretariat's Central Mosque.
The chairman has taken the initiative to renovate the central mosque that's inside the local government secretariat following the destruction and burning by protesters on 1st August and September, 2024, which resulted in the destruction of the mosque and other parts of the local government secretariat.
The chairman vowed to continue to revive the abandoned properties and bring them back to their feet to improve the lives of the community and their properties.
The reconstruction of the mosque will revive religious activities and facilitate the local government staff to perform their religious services in the local government secretariat without any disruption.
"We must take measures that will improve the lives of the people and protect their property because only through this can we fulfill our promises to provide the community with the full protection it deserves.
"We took the decision to rebuild this mosque to provide our workers with the peace and quiet to perform their duties without any interruption." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari.
