The executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, offered free scholarships to four orphans and less-privileged students at Flying Colors International Academy, Potiskum Local Government Area.
The chairman sponsored the education of four students, while his spokesperson (S.A. Information and Communication to the executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area), Ibrahim M. Nura, spoke on his behalf during the graduation ceremony of students at the school premises today, Saturday, 2nd, August, 2025.
"As I am now speaking on behalf of the executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, although I am here as a father and an elder brother to my two biological sisters, I will use this opportunity to learn from my boss and principal, Hon. Salisu Muktari, to sponsor the school fees of four orphans and vulnerable students.
"I am giving a directive to this school management to please find four orphans and vulnerable children so that we can pay for their school fees on behalf of the executive chairman of our blessed local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari. This is a model for the kind of good work that the local government chairman is always doing, especially in the area of sponsoring the education of orphans and vulnerable children." Said Ibrahim M. Nura.
The chairman has always sponsored the education of orphans at different levels, and recently, he sponsored the education of an orphan to study MBBS at the University of Maiduguri.
