The Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has warmly congratulated the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, on his reappointment as Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a powerful endorsement of competence and credibility.
Hon. Salisu Muktari stated that the decision to once again entrust Gov. Buni with such a strategic national responsibility clearly demonstrates the APC’s confidence in leaders with proven records, institutional memory, and a deep understanding of party administration, noting that Gov. Buni’s consistent presence on the national stage reflects years of dedicated service and unmatched experience in managing complex party processes.
According to him, Gov. Buni’s earlier roles as Secretary of the National Convention Planning Committee and Chairman of the APC National Reconciliation Committee were instrumental in restoring confidence, resolving internal disagreements, and reinforcing unity within the party at critical moments in its history.
The Potiskum LGA Chairman further emphasized that Gov. Buni’s dual responsibility, combining planning oversight with control of media and public communication, positions him as a stabilizing force capable of ensuring clarity, transparency, and seamless coordination before, during, and after the convention.
Hon. Salisu Muktari expressed strong optimism that Gov. Buni’s leadership will greatly contribute to delivering a peaceful, inclusive, and credible national convention, especially in the election of members of the National Working Committee.
He concluded by describing Gov. Buni as a distinguished ambassador of Yobe State and a pillar of the APC’s national structure, noting that his continued reappointment to key national assignments strengthens internal democracy, promotes party cohesion, and showcases Yobe State as a hub of trusted and capable leadership within Nigeria’s political landscape.
