Hon. Salisu Muktari Chairs Security Council Meeting, Calls for Strengthening of Anti-Drug Abuse and Trafficking

The executive chairman of the Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, chairs a Security Council meeting and calls for the strengthening of anti-drug abuse and trafficking.
The chairman did this in his effort to reaffirm the commitment of the Yobe State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, to combat anti-drug abuse and trafficking across Yobe State.
This is in line with the government’s policy of creating a stable and prosperous society for the good people of Yobe State.
The chairman was represented by his deputy, Hon. Hamza Adamu Ngojin.
"It is good that we work together to strengthen the fight against drug abuse, both in terms of drug trafficking and its distribution to the drug addict.
"This approach will curb most of the terrorist activities and will prevent any damage and bring ease to the areas of peace and stability among our entire communities." Ngojin said
The meeting was attended by various heads of security and traditional rulers of the local government area, who all agreed to join hands in the fight against drug abuse.
