The Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, has recorded another landmark achievement in his people-focused development agenda with the successful completion of newly constructed roads and drainage systems in Jajimaji, the administrative headquarters of Karasuwa LGA in northern Yobe State.
This transformative project is historic, as it represents the first time Jajimaji has been equipped with properly designed road networks and functional drainage infrastructure since becoming a local government headquarters. The development has significantly upgraded the town’s physical outlook and addressed long-standing infrastructural challenges faced by residents.
The newly completed roads have greatly improved intra-city mobility, reduced travel time, and enhanced commercial activities within the town. In addition, the modern drainage network is strategically designed to control floodwaters, prevent erosion, and safeguard homes, businesses, and public infrastructure, especially during the rainy season.
The project further reflects Gov. Buni’s commitment to balanced development and inclusive governance, ensuring that communities at the grassroots enjoy the dividends of democracy. By prioritizing critical infrastructure in underserved areas, the administration continues to drive sustainable urban development and improve living standards across Yobe State.
Community leaders and residents of Jajimaji have commended Gov. Buni for this long-awaited intervention, describing it as a clear demonstration of responsive leadership and purposeful governance.
Gov. Buni once again reinforces his reputation as a leader delivering tangible results—bringing development closer to the people and setting Karasuwa LGA on a new path of growth and progress.
