The Executive Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, today, 15th April, 2025, presented scholarships and laptops to students who secured admission in to law school.
The governor, as usual, every year, pays for the tuition of law students and provides them with laptops.
The executive governor confirmed that 127 students who have completed their studies will benefit from the scholarship of N475,000 and laptops each to facilitate their studies and modernize it.
“I am pleased to announce that our government has consistently supported the education of students both locally and abroad, with over 38,000 beneficiaries of the state scholarship scheme under our administration.
“This is the fourth consecutive time that this administration has provided scholarships to law graduates to study at the Nigerian Bar.” Governor Buni said
He also said that out of the 189 who graduated from medical schools and joint ventures in Indian universities, 140 have been employed, while the remaining 49 will be employed soon.
“This administration will also continue to support the pursuit of professional certification in Nigerian law schools to enable law graduates to practice as lawyers, accountants to obtain professional certificates from ANAN or ICAN, and administrators in ASCON.” Gov. Buni added
The governor is committed to giving priority to education because education alone will end poverty and any act of corruption.
