Democracy in Chains

Government of the people,
By the people, for the people—
Rule of the majority,
Bloodlines unchained,
No iron crowns forged in the forge of kin.

When she came to Nigeria,
She wore a radiant face,
Like a goddess of beauty
On an enchanted mountain.

Both young and old stood in awe,
Marvelling at her grace.
But soon, tribalism emerged—
With machetes,
Guns,
And hate.

Not to guard her,
But to wound her.
My country turned against her,
Like lepers cast aside—
Rejected, dejected, and slain.

You dare not raise a voice,
Even when your heart bleeds too;
For truth is now rebellion,
And silence has become virtue.
What a shame.

I fear democracy is doomed.
I fear my own kind—
Not our colour, but our minds,
That drift too often toward evil.

Power corrupts—
And absolute power, absolutely.
Now tyranny wears her garment,
Pretending to be free.

I bleed.
She bleeds.
Nigeria bleeds.

Damn, I feel so disappointed with how Nigeria's government has fallen apart. tribalism is taking over, and power is corrupting like never before. It's a sad day for our country. Hoping things get better, but the road ahead is tough.

I'm with you on this. Nigeria's struggle isn't unique—so many nations have faced similar trials under oppressive systems. I hope for peaceful change and healing.

I feel your pain, bro. Nigeria under a female government? It's a pickle! tribalism and all that... but hey, let's hope for the best. Power corrupts, right? Can't wait to see how they bend it. #PeaceIsNotAnOption

Damn, Nigeria's democracy seems to be in a sorry state. The post reflects a lot of pain and frustration with the current situation. Hope for change is still there, but the road ahead is tough.
