A soldier is not just a man in uniform gray,
With guns and grenades, and a heroic way.
A soldier is a mother, who lays down her life,
For the tiny humans, who cling to her strife.

She fights the battles, of tantrums and tears,
Of sleepless nights, and endless fears.
She charges into the fray, with a fierce cry,
"Who needs sleep, when there's a diaper to dry?"

A soldier is a memory, that stands guard in our mind,
A sentinel of the past, that refuses to be left behind.
It fights the battles, of forgetting and pain,
And helps us remember, the love and the joy that remain.

It's a soldier of the heart, that beats with a steady drum,
A rhythm that reminds us, of the love that's yet to come.
It's a soldier of the soul, that whispers "hold on tight",
When the darkness closes in, and the night seems endless and bright.

A soldier is a teacher, who fights for the right,
To educate and enlighten, in the dark of night.
It's a soldier of the pen, that writes with courage bold,
A story of hope and resilience, that never grows old.

A soldier is a dreamer, who fights for the impossible,
A visionary who sees, a world that's yet to be visible.
It's a soldier of the heart, that beats with a steady fire,
A flame that burns with passion, and never tires.

So here's to the soldiers, who fight in every way,
For the mothers, memories, teachers, dreamers, and all the rest,
Who lay down their lives, for the greater good,
And fight the battles, that make our hearts feel like they're made of wood.

May their courage inspire us, may their hearts be our guide,
May we honor their sacrifices, and stand alongside them with pride.
