I actually stumbled into Château Gheude almost by accident on a rainy afternoon, and it ended up being the highlight of my trip to the south coast. The building itself is stunning - that old French colonial architecture with the wide verandas and timber shutters - but what really got me was the scale. It's not a massive museum.
