Residents of Damaturu and across Yobe State have expressed overwhelming support and commendation for Governor Mai Mala Buni’s landmark flyover and underpass bridge, describing it as a game-changer for urban development and economic growth.

Weeks into construction, citizens say the visible progress of the bridge demonstrates the governor’s commitment to modern, people-centered infrastructure that addresses the daily challenges of traffic congestion and improves business activities.

“The construction of this bridge is a clear sign that Governor Buni is delivering on his promises. Damaturu is transforming before our eyes, and we are proud to witness history being made,” said Shu'aibu, one resident.

Local traders and commuters noted that the bridge project is bringing hope and convenience while also creating opportunities for business expansion and economic development across the city. Many described it as a beacon of progress and modernity, putting Yobe State on the map as a leader in infrastructure development in the Northeast.

Community leaders highlighted that the project reflects Buni’s visionary and strategic leadership, turning policy into tangible results that impact the daily lives of citizens. “This is not just a bridge; it’s a lasting legacy for generations to come,” said Mal. Umar Shanga, a local community elder.

As construction continues, residents remain optimistic that the bridge will reshape Damaturu’s cityscape, enhance connectivity, and serve as a symbol of what decisive and people-focused governance can achieve.

The bridge project has united Yobe residents in praise for Governor Buni’s transformational leadership, reinforcing confidence in his commitment to building a modern, prosperous, and connected state.
