blossom in spring
grow yellow in summer
the glamour of youth beetle over time
linger on lane of memory,
in songs of yellow leaf dance
on guard
against melodious breeze and storm;
yellow leaf waits on the longsuffering of time
to nurse soil for new sprout
let green leaf dance the chivaree
of breeze and storm
wait, as time takes longsuffering
to brush it yellow
and reap the blessings of old age!
