WHO SC supports PHC Board Potiskum LGA... Commends Hon. Salisu Muktari for prioritizing health-related issues

The World Health Organization supports PHC Board of Potiskum local government area and commends Hon. Salisu Muktari, the executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, for prioritizing and supporting health-related issues.
Yesterday, Friday, 30 May 2025, WHO and the SC Foundation supported the Yobe State Primary Health Care Board Potiskum local government chapter with a gasoline generator, projector, electronic stand, printer, public addressing system, and 20 plastic chairs.
The foundation had promised to provide this support to Potiskum LGA EOC since 2024 during the fight against the CSM outbreak in the local government; they fulfilled the promise today as they are committed to supporting the health sector in Potiskum local government area at all times.
Coordinator of the PHC Board Potiskum LGA Abdulrahman Musa confirmed that;
"Today, I and my staff, on behalf of our esteemed chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, received the support from WHO SC as promised to us since 2024.
"This support was directly transferred to the IM sector, and the support are includes a gasoline generator, projector, electronic stand, printer, public addressing system, and 20 chairs." He said
He also confirmed that after touring and monitoring the health services in Potiskum LGA for a long time, the foundation representatives commended Hon. Salisu Muktari for giving full support to the health sector in Potiskum.
"The WHO SC representatives also commended the executive chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, for giving us priority and standing up to ensure a sound health system in Potiskum local government area, and commended his hard work in bringing about effective changes in the health affairs of the good people of Potiskum." Abdulrahman Musa added
