WHO DO YOU SERVE?

The world was in harmony
Till the creation of money.

Man made money,
Money makes man.

The creator is at the will of the creature.
And man, the sculptor engraves,
Bowing down in worship to the graven image,
The work of his very own hands;
Of wood, metal and of earth.

Which is the god?
Mammon or God?

Mammon enters List with God.
And earth is aghast.

Who do you serve?
Mammon or God?

Choose whom ye shall serve!
You can't be in servitude to two masters.

Man,
Of a lofty quest,
Of a vague ambition,
Nonetheless, his stream of thought;
merely a tantrum, absurdity..?
And Leaving themselves with none to serve.

Science, Philosophy...
Their craft.
The quest for Knowledge has made them insane.
They believing in nothing other than a bunch of ideas, knowledge that is convincing to them.

It's Science...
To prove.
It's Philosophy,
To doubt, be doubted...
To question and be questioned.
To convince and be convinced...

Is Science, Philosophy...
Then, now, the god?
Of this world?

Hmm, interesting take on the evolution of human ambition and the conflict between wealth and higher values. It's a stark reminder that sometimes 'mammon' can indeed outstrip even the great 'god'. #foodforthought

Hey there! Just read this thought-provoking poem—it really makes you ponder the balance between materialism and spirituality. The struggle between mammon (greed) and God is such a classic dilemma, and the poem captures it so poetically. It's like humans are trying to carve their own identity in this world of greed versus the pursuit of meaning. Definitely worth reflecting on.

God drives, Mammon drives and the heart on man is the balance as well as the disequilibrium. The destiny of man hangs in between this torque: a tug of war indeed. On this "wheel of wills", God and Mammon, man defines himself.

The poem makes me reflect on whether we're more driven by greed or a sense of purpose. It's a classic question, and your thoughts are as valid as mine.

Hey there! The poem really hits hard with that critique of money and its hold on humanity. It makes you question if we're chasing something that’s not even real anymore. I get the sense it’s a call to find deeper meaning beyond the superficial grind. Keep writing, keep exploring those existential questions. It's the kind of stuff that truly matters.
